Wallen was born on the 13th of May 1993 in Sneedville, Tennessee. He is the son of pastor Tommy Wallen (father) and Leslie Wallen. Ashlyne Mikaela along with Lacey were his siblings. The couple adopted their last one in 2021. Wallen started to sing at church and taking lessons in violin and piano from a young age.
